Online Store Not Responding? How to Get Your Money Back
By the IsLegitReviews editorial team · 25 September 2026
You paid, the order never came, and your emails go unanswered. Here is what to do, in the order that usually works best.
1. Send one clear, final request in writing
Email the store with your order number, the date you paid, what you received (or did not), and what you want: a refund or a replacement. Give a deadline, such as seven days. Keep a copy.
2. Check how you paid
Your payment method decides your options. Credit and debit cards allow a chargeback. PayPal has a Resolution Center for items not received or not as described. Bank transfers and crypto are much harder to reverse, so move quickly if you used them.
3. Open a dispute or chargeback
If the deadline passes, contact your card issuer or open a PayPal dispute. Attach your order confirmation, the product page if you saved it, and your emails. Most providers have time limits, often 60 to 180 days, so do not wait for months.
4. Report the company
File a complaint with your national consumer authority. If the store looks like a scam, report the website to the fraud authority in your country as well.
5. Tell other shoppers
A calm, factual review helps others avoid the same problem, and many companies respond once complaints become public. Share your experience here.
