How the TrustRating Works

Every company on IsLegitReviews has a TrustRating between 1.0 and 5.0. It answers one question: how comfortable should you feel paying this company?

Two ingredients

Customer reviews. Once a company has at least three published reviews, their average makes up half of the TrustRating.

A safety check of the website. We look at how long the domain has been registered, whether it has a valid security certificate, whether it publishes contact details and policies, what the domain registry reports, and whether the site appears in public threat feeds. Well-established websites score well; brand-new sites with no contact details score poorly.

What the labels mean

• Excellent (4.3 to 5.0): strong history, no warning signs.
• Great (3.5 to 4.2): mostly positive signals.
• Average (2.5 to 3.4): mixed signals, read the details.
• Poor (1.8 to 2.4): several warning signs or many complaints.
• Bad (1.0 to 1.7): serious warning signs.

Limits

A rating is a summary, not a guarantee. New but honest businesses can start low and improve as reviews arrive, and no automated check sees everything. Always read the reviews and pay with a method that protects you.
